The ‘Community Pharmacy Future’ (CPF) project was set up in 2011 to provide robust evidence for commissioners and policy makers to enable them to make fully informed decisions about the contribution community pharmacy could make to patient care. The CPF project consisted of two phases, the first of which aimed to tackle two important health areas through the delivery and evaluation of three separate services: chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) case finding, a COPD support service, and support for patients on four or more medicines.
