  • The dreaded D word

    8 JAN 2000

SIR, I utterly despair of the large number of pharmacists writing in the letter columns of the PJ who wish to diagnose and prescribe. Within the context of a busy community pharmacy it is not possible for a pharmacist to make any meaningful differential diagnosis. Pharmacists who do so are putting the public at risk. I believe that pharmacists who wish to diagnose and prescribe should study to become doctors. Each to his own. Brian Stroh
