    We were sorry to learn of the death of our former colleague, Shirley Groves.  She joined the West Berkshire District Health Authority in November 1973 and was the highly respected Principal Pharmacist of Battle Hospital, Reading and subsequently Principal Pharmacist for Community Services with the Royal Berkshire Hospital, a role to which she brought her considerable professional knowledge and charisma.  She took early retirement at the end of March 1993.  Our sympathies are with her ...
