On 6 November 2017, Dennis William Higgins FRPharmS, aged 84, of Surbiton. Mr Higgins registered with the Society in 1954 and was designated Fellow of the Society in 1988.
Higgins served as social secretary to the Thames Valley Pharmacists’ Association between 1966 and 1985, and later served as the association’s treasurer. He was member of the South West London and Surrey and the Kingston and Richmond LPCs. In 1979, Higgins was elected to membership of the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee.
On New Year’s Day 1996, on his 63rd Mr Higgins was awarded an MBE for services to the community.
A celebration of Higgins’ life will be held on at 12.00 pm on 24 November 2017 at the at the British Legion club, Hollyfield Road, Surbiton, following the cremation at 11 am at Kingston Cemetery. All are welcome to both. For further information, please contact Steve Higgins on 07785 324399.
