Tribute to William George Peberdy

On 21 December 2015, William George Peberdy died aged 95.

Bill Peberdy qualified from Leeds University in 1942 and served as an admiralty pharmacist from 1942 to 1947. After spending a year as a manufacturing manager with Cupal in Blackburn, he opened a pharmacy in Leeds which he then sold in 1949. Following a period as a locum, he joined Parke-Davis in 1952 as a representative and later became district sales manager in northern England.

He was well known in Leeds as a keen private pilot and flying instructor. He retired to Scarborough in 1983.
