The Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) is seeking student pharmacists to volunteer at the 2018 International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) World Congress.

The RPS is hosting this year’s event, which takes place in Glasgow between 2 and 6 September 2018. More than 4000 pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists from around the world are expected to attend.

Described by the RPS as “an exciting opportunity to attend an international world congress and network with world leaders in pharmacy”, the congress volunteer role includes greeting attendees, assisting with registration, supporting event photographers and advising delegates with general enquires. In return for their help, students will receive payment of £50 per day to cover their costs, and will be invited to the welcome reception and closing dinner. Volunteers will also receive three staff polo shirts and a congress bag. Breakfast, lunch and refreshments will be provided free of charge.

Students wishing to apply must have a good working knowledge of Glasgow, relevant public-facing experience and be confident conversing in English, with additional languages an advantage.

The closing date for applications is 23 October 2017. Full details of volunteer requirements, and how to apply, are available on the RPS website.
