APTUK awards (2008) Subscription
The Association of Pharmacy Technicians UK has named the winners of the Pharmacy Technicians of the Year Awards 2008.
Public health Subscription
Entries are being called for the chief medical officer’s public health awards, which will recognise individuals, teams and services that have made an impact on public health in England.The awards are open to anyone working in public health in England, regardless of job title or role.
Practice research Subscription
Pharmacists wanting to start or develop a research career are invited by the Pharmacy Practice Research Trust to apply for a 2009 Practice Research Award.A total of £55,000 is available for a number of grants, open to those requiring funding between PhD and post doctoral grants or to progress from MPhil to PhD.
Health and Social Care Subscription
The Department of Health is now accepting entries for the Health and Social Care Awards.The awards are open to anyone working in the NHS, social services, and the voluntary, charity and independent sectors in England. The award categories include patient safety, primary care and community services pathways, and improving health and reducing inequalities.
Society awards Subscription
The Royal Pharmaceutical Society is calling on applications from accredited schools of pharmacy for its “2009 Academic Excellence Awards” — a programme of PhD studentships to help develop the next generation of academic pharmacists.
Research conference award Subscription
Applications or nominations for the 2009 Practice Research Conference Award are invited for the consideration of the British Pharmaceutical Conference Practice Research Panel.The award recognises individuals who have made a significant contribution to the field of pharmacy practice research and have a potential to become a leader in the field.

Applications are invited for a new Royal Pharmaceutical Society award to recognise a significant contribution to medicines safety in Britain.
PPRT bursary Subscription
The Pharmacy Practice Research Trust is calling for community pharmacists who are self-employed or work for a small pharmacy chain (up to 60 registered premises) to apply for a research training bursary.
