    Nobody needs to be surprised at how passionate I feel about the current employment crisis within the pharmacy profession at the minute. But I thought I’d explore alternative careers for my latest blog post. One of the most irritating assertions I hear is when someone wrongfully claims that a pharmacist only really has three places to go after qualification - community, hospital or industrial pharmacy. There are various alternatives available to pharmacists.

    Students cannot be accepted on to the five-year integrated preregistration MPharm degree at the University of Birmingham, according to the General Pharmaceutical Council. The council agreed that the degree should not progress from step three to step four of the accreditation process following a recommendation from the GPhC accreditation team.

  • Huddersfield university marks MPharm course accreditation

    The University of Huddersfield’s MPharm course was granted full accreditation this week (12 June 2012) by the General Pharmaceutical Council. Its first group of 53 students is expected to graduate on 16 July 2012, and the university aims to recruit 72 students each year.
