    In secret session, the new Assembly will be asked to endorse a vote that the members approve allowing social scientists to become members of the RPS.  This is planned for tomorrow (Thursday).

    Is it just me, or does anyone else remember the response from the Society when the Membership asked to have plastic credit-card type identification some years ago?As I recall, the response was that the whole process of issuing these cards would be too expensive.Imagine my surprise upon receiving exactly such a card this week.
