Research has found that the asthma drug salbutamol is associated with a reduction in the risk of Parkinson’s disease (PD).

The asthma drug salbutamol has been found to regulate a-synuclein, a protein implicated in the development of Parkinson's disease. Researchers say that its effects should now be studied in people already living with Parkinson's disease.
