Researchers have found that use of antiepileptic drugs is associated with a higher incidence of dementia

Researchers found that regular use of antiepileptic drugs (AEDs) with cognitive adverse effects was associated with a 59% increased risk of incident dementia and a 19% increased risk of Alzheimer’s disease, compared with no use of AEDs.
