Emma McConnell

Emma is scientific director of a medical communications agency Emma completed her pharmacy degree at Queen’s University Belfast, and followed this with a preregistration year in community pharmacy. She then completed a PhD and a post-doctoral research post in Pharmaceutics at the UCL School of Pharmacy. Emma then worked as a Research Scientist for MSD, developing oral drug formulations. During her time as a researcher, Emma authored more than 30 papers, abstracts, and book chapters and co-authored a book. A love of science communication and writing prompted a move into the Medical Communications industry. Emma is now a Medical Writer with Gardiner-Caldwell Communications, part of the KnowledgePoint360 Group.
