CBE for Peter Noyce for service to healthcare
Peter Noyce, professor of pharmacy practice at the University ofManchester’s school of pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences, has beenawarded a CBE for
He commented on the accolade: “It is a great fortune and honour tohave one’s contribution acknowledged so publicly. However, in truth,most achievements are team efforts. Throughout my varied professionalcareer I have been privileged to work with stimulating and supportivecolleagues.”
Currently professional adviser to the Department of Health’sPharmacy Regulation and Leadership Oversight Group (PRLOG), ProfessorNoyce has also been appointed practice chairman for the BritishPharmaceutical Conference 2009.
Four pharmacists were awarded MBEs. Angela Alexander, College ofPharmacy Practice governor and senior clinical lecturer at the schoolof pharmacy, University of Reading, was recognised for her services topharmacy practice, education and to the voluntary sector. Anthea Laceyand Hitesh Patel were awarded MBEs for their service to pharmacy andtheir local communities in Ashford, Middlesex, and in Rothwell andDesborough, Leicestershire, respectively. Peter Sharott, director, Eastand South East England Specialist Pharmacy Services, was awarded an MBEfor services to pharmacy.
