Faculty grows, with 53 new members
Fifty-three new pharmacists have been accepted as members of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s Faculty, it was announced this week.
Following the second round of assessments, 28 more RPS members are now Faculty fellows, 19 have been awarded advanced stage II and six awarded advanced stage I. In total, there are now 128 Faculty members. When this figure is broken down by sector, just under half (49 per cent) are from the hospital sector, 27 per cent are from academia, 13 per cent from community pharmacy, 5 per cent from primary care, 4 per cent from Government organisations and 2 per cent are from industry. Sixty-four per cent of Faculty members are women.
Exactly 80 per cent of Faculty members come from England, 14 per cent from Scotland and 6 per cent from Wales.
