Group to oversee transition
A new working group has been set up to oversee the transition of the Society to the professional body.
The group, consisting of Society Council members and staff, will ensure that progress is made within the required time, that there is effective co-ordination of work streams and that risks are managed effectively.
Council and Transitional Committee members Steve Churton, Martin Astbury, Andrew Gush and David Carter are on the working group.
Bimonthly meetings are scheduled for the group until December 2009 and it will report to the Council regularly.
A PJ Online poll currently shows that just 40 per cent of pharmacists intend to join the new professional body, with 39 per cent being undecided.?
