MUR forms out the window as service amendments take effect

By News team

Pharmacists in England are no longer required to complete a medicines use review form or give a copy to the patient after an MUR, following changes introduced on Sunday (1 July 2012).

But pharmacists are now expected to send additional data to their primary care trust about MURs, including the number of medicines used by patients who undergo a review, the healthy lifestyle advice offered and whether medicines adherence is expected to improve (PJ 2012;288:634).
