Tess Fenn, president of the Association of Pharmacy Technicians UK, will step down at the end of 2018

Tess Fenn, president of the Association of Pharmacy Technicians UK (APTUK), has announced her decision to step down from the role at the end of 2018.

Fenn took over as president of the APTUK, the professional leadership body for pharmacy technicians in the UK and Northern Ireland, in 2014. Her career began in 1970, spanning almost five decades, and she has worked across sectors including community, hospital and education.

Fenn made the announcement on the first day of the APTUK’s annual conference, held on 17–18 June 2018 in Glasgow.

She said that while she believed it was now time for someone else to take profession forward, she intends to remain on the pharmacy technicians’ register until she reaches her 50-year milestone.
