Trial tests free access to published research for NHS staff

NHS staff could soon have free access to published medical research following the announcement that a pilot trial is taking place that will be overseen by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence.

The one-year trial will make some of the latest medical research available to NHS staff in the UK. So far, scientific journal publishers taking part include AAAS, Annual Reviews, Elsevier, IOP publishing, Nature Publishing Group, Oxford University press, Royal Society of Chemistry and Springer.
