Correct storage of blood glucose test strips

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has issued an alert asking health professionals to identify patients using the GlucoMen LX Sensor test strips to monitor their blood glucose levels and ensure they know how to use and store them correctly. The vials must be closed immediately and properly after use, especially if they are stored in a humid environment. Failure to do this could expose the test strips to high humidity, which may lead to a higher reading than it should be. More information is available from the MHRA website.
