July 2015: SMC decisions

The Scottish Medicines Consortium (SMC) has recommended the following medicines for use in NHS Scotland for particular indications: sorafenib (Nexavar; Bayer); riociguat (Adempas; Bayer); vedolizumab (Entyvio; Takeda); tinzaparin (Innohep; Leo Laboratories); ceftobiprole (Zevtera; Basilea). The following medicines have not been recommended for use: olaparib (Lynparza; AstraZeneca); vinflunine (Javlor; Pierre Fabre); rivaroxaban (Xarelto; Bayer). Further details can be found on the SMC website
