Medical device alert for coagulation monitor

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has issued a medical device alert for INRatio and INRatio2 PT/INR coagulation monitor and test strips manufactured by Alere. This is because of the risk of low blood coagulation results when used by people with certain medical conditions, which can lead to them taking the wrong dose of anti-coagulation medicine. More information is available on the MHRA website.
