Quality standard for care home residents

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) has published a draft quality standard, made up of nine statements, to improve quality of life for people living in care homes who need medicines. The standard recommends that care homes across England should empower and support residents to make decisions about their medicines. A consultation on the standard is available from the NICE website until 5pm on 17 November 2014.
