NHS England has published guidance on the handling of tramadol, which became a schedule 3 drug on 10 June 2014, but is not be subject to safe custody requirements. The guidance is relevant for community pharmacies, hospital pharmacies and other pharmacy service providers delivering services to HM Prisons, Immigration Removal Centres and other residential secure environments.
