Having finished my shift at work I eagerly raced home tobegin my trilogy of homework as required of a Pharmacist games maker.
The first part of a specially commissioned CPPE(Olympics)training pack is ‘Doping and anti-doping in sport: a healthcareprofessional's perspective’.
This was an informative pack giving a wide introduction to Anti-dopingand the different agencies that are involved.
It is a resource that Pharmacist games makers will bereferencing to tirelessly over the Olympic and Paralympic games.
As I switched off my PC I couldn’t help but feel a mixtureof emotions. I was fearful as I knew the potential impact my role could have onthe athletes. But erudition surpassed this as each Pharmacist games maker wasto receive the training and skill sets required for their job.
With that feeling of reassurance I was able to get a good night’ssleep.
After all I certainly needed it.
Tomorrow I wanted to complete the second part of my homeworktrilogy ‘The use of drugs in sport, a healthcare professionals perspective.’
