Wonderfulnews. Our RocknRollPharmacy Roving Reporter has been back in the saddle to giveus news this week, of how the Glastonbury Festival site is shaping up. Theframework of The Pyramid remains in place all year. They are currently using agiant roller to flatten the area behind, then the Pyramid outer skin will beput on and the stage platform built inside as we get nearer to the festival.Tons of hardcore have been used to prepare the roads, the 9 mile long perimeterfence is more than half completed, and the enormous task of painting thousandsof litter bins is underway. The site for the Medicine man Pharmacy is still agreen field.
Thepharmacy teams are being organised and will include non-pharmacy staff forsetting up the pharmacy before & taking it down again at the end. Familymember, John has been helping set up and take down the pharmacies at GlastonburyFestival since 2007 and will be heading onto site several days before the restof us arrive.
Ticket administration seems well organised this year. Tickets are all sold and bookingfor parking, and even for off-site accommodation continues. Some punters havestarted to receive their tickets by registered post this week. I cant wait!Today I purchased a new airbed, and I’ve looked out my tent. The next importantjob is to put the tent up and make sure nothing is missing. Remind me to tellyou sometime about the year I went to put up my tent at Glastonbury anddiscovered all my tent poles were missing!
So. Who isthe RocknRollPharmacy Roving Reporter? Well. Some people say it might be TheStig . . . . .
