Recently when I was wasting time on the internet, I stumbled across an article on the Times Higher Education website. It was written by one Kevin Smith of the University of Abertay Dundee about another article discussing the increasing numbers of students studying pharmacy in the UK.

First thing in the morning, on the crowded bus journey I've taken to reading the News on my phone. Yesterday morning one story in particular caught my eye, it was in the Guardian and titled 'Cancer drug too expensive for NHS'. I got rather excited at this point as I hadn't thought I would find a story more interesting than that about a Lion eating an Owl at Colchester Zoo.
The other day I attended a lecture that gave me some chilling statistics on Cancer and how our knowledge of it has changed over the years. This led my mind a wandering to thinking about a book I had read recently, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot.
