Medicines shortage management survey

Shortage management is a challenge in any environment and especially important in healthcare. Aston University is undertaking a study to understand shortage management better.

This project investigates supply chain orientation and focuses on post-disruption events in the supply of pharmaceuticals. It is concerned with the how actions taken after a supply chain disruption can have on shortage management in acute secondary care. By participating in this research, new insights can be discovered to possibly improve this problem. It is hoped that this work will contribute to academic knowledge regarding post-disruption behaviour so that future knowledge can be used to mitigate the effects of supply chain disruptions, drug shortages and reduce their impact on pharmacy practice and patients.

A copy of the results will be made available to all participants through a secure and encrypted link on Aston University’s website.

This survey will take approximately 15 to 20 minutes to complete and the deadline for submission is 31 August 2016. It is available at: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/BWT96Z2.
