Your article published in the July issue of The Pharmaceutical Journal (2016;297:53) about Richard Hough suggests his dual qualification differentiates him from ‘nearly’ every other legal adviser in the market. That may be the case, but there is some competition!
I completed my BPharm degree at the University of Bradford and qualified as a pharmacist in 1986, completed my MPharm degree from Bradford in 1992, gained membership of the College of Pharmacy Practice by examination in 1993 and taught the Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Practice at Nottingham University for a couple of years. I have worked as a locum in some community pharmacies and in hospital for about six years.
I studied law in Preston and Manchester before I became qualified as solicitor in 1998. I completed an LLM at Nottingham Trent University in 2005. I have traded in my own name since 2000 and continue to advise pharmacists on legal matters. It was one of my client’s cases which precipitated the call for decriminalisations of dispensing errors.
