Release details of how each member voted

The decision of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) English Pharmacy Board (EPB) not to nominate Ash Soni to the Assembly means he cannot stand for the president of the RPS. It is my understanding that members of the EPB are elected by the membership who, in turn, by secret ballot, elect five candidates to the Assembly.

I understand the Nolan principles (selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty and leadership) — created by the Committee on Standards in Public Life — apply to public bodies. Does the RPS have similar guiding principles, especially for an election by secret ballot? It would help to squash rumours of collaborative conspiracy if the EPB can release details of how each member voted.

Perhaps it is time for an external audit of governance and compatibility with RPS members to be carried out for the longevity of the organisation.
