Plans to ban display of tobacco products in England published

Proposals to ban the display of tobacco products and to limit access to tobacco vending machines are contained in a consultation published last week (12 October 2009) by the Department of Health.

“Consultation on proposed tobacco control regulations in England under the Health Bill 2009” (PDF 1.2Mb) will close on 30 December 2009 and follows similar suggestions put forward in the Tobacco and Primary Medical Services Bill going through the Scottish Government (PJ Online, 9 October 2009).
