Three UK universities that offer the Master of Pharmacy degree have been ranked among the best in the world for their pharmacy and pharmacology education.
The University of Nottingham, King’s College London and UCL (University College London) have all been recognised for their excellence in pharmacy and pharmacology education by the QS World University Rankings, which published its latest league table for pharmacy and pharmacology on 7 March 2017.
The University of Nottingham is ranked sixth for pharmacy and pharmacology, followed by King’s College and UCL, which are placed seventh and eighth, respectively.
The only universities offering professional pharmacy qualifications to beat the UK were Monash University in Melbourne, Australia, which is ranked second in the pharmacy and pharmacology subject league table and the University of California, San Francisco, which is in fifth position.
The top 10 universities in the pharmacy and pharmacology league table are: Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts (ranked 1); Monash University (2); University of Cambridge (3); University of Oxford (4); University of California, San Francisco (5); The University of Nottingham (6); King’s College London (7); UCL (University College London) (8); The University of Tokyo (9); and Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm (10).
