Improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness
From Mr M. K. Astbury, FRPharmS
As a membership organisation working on behalf of and in the best interests of our members, we continuously review our running costs and explore new ways in which we can improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
As part of this commitment and after a review of our operational and building needs, we have looked at the premises we occupy. The Assembly of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society has asked for all options to be explored, including the potential sale of 1 Lambeth High Street.
Capita Symonds is now working with the Society to identify new premises and gauge interest of potential buyers in our current building.
We will continue to make sure that every pound of members’ money spent is used as effectively as possible to maximise the benefit to the profession.
We are exploring all the options for our accommodation needs but ultimately the decision will be made on what provides the best and most cost-effective solution for our members.
The new Assembly will be receiving a comprehensive explanation of the work done to date on options for the future housing of the RPS and the Pharmaceutical Press at its meeting on the 25 July. We will keep our members fully informed of any progress on this issue.
