Hundreds of members still at risk of striking-off for non-payment of retention fees
Hundreds of pharmacists are still at risk of being removed from the Register of Pharmaceutical Chemists for non-payment of their retention fees.
Despite the mailing of final reminders several weeks ago, retention fees remain unpaid for about 2,000 pharmacists. If the Royal Pharmaceutical Society does not receive payment from these members by 10 May, they risk being erased by the Society's Registrar on May 13. About 300 pharmacy premises similarly face erasure for non-payment of fees.
Restorations following erasure will require payment of a penalty fee of £355 for members and £310 for each set of premises, in addition to the retention fees.
