Science must remain at the heart of pharmacy education

Absolutely essential to ensure the science subjects studied in pharmacy include diagnostics and clinical methods, pathology, emergency medicine, prescribing, dermatology, general medicine, anaesthesiology, surgery etc so that pharmacists can stand in for the apparent 10,000 GP shortage and progress through all the medical specialities in the same way that medics can. Any other type of scientific subjects and pharmacists are liable to be replaced with robotic dispensers by the international chains.
