Antibiotic gel crosses eardrum to treat middle ear infections

Comment

This would be revolutionary if it works. It remains to be careful indeed about the consequences of local application of such preparations, in the ear canal; chemical irritation, acute allergic reaction, or mechanical effects, and more that could swap a middle ear infection for an external ear or hearing issue! Also biochemical reaction of the antibiotic in consideration, with the other gel biochemical constituents, may modify its structure, thus efficacy. We will pray!
