Up to 40% of patients not taking their blood pressure tablets as prescribed

Is to possible that these patients were poorly compliant when they were only taking one medicine, therefore their BP was poorly controlled so more meds kept being added without anyone asking the question, "are you taking what you have been prescribed?"
