From the shop floor to the glass ceiling


Quite right to have attention focussed on this important issue relating to social justice and future of our profession. Many women from the minorities face extra hurdles. During mid-90s, when there was a shortage of pharmacists a so-called pharmacy leader described Asian women pharmacists as ‘baby machines not helping with the shortage of pharmacists’. Has this gone under-ground or have we made progress in our attitudes and acceptance?
