Quite right to have attention focussed on this important issue relating to social justice and future of our profession. Many women from the minorities face extra hurdles. During mid-90s, when there was a shortage of pharmacists a so-called pharmacy leader described Asian women pharmacists as ‘baby machines not helping with the shortage of pharmacists’. Has this gone under-ground or have we made progress in our attitudes and acceptance?
