From the shop floor to the glass ceiling


I'd personally be really interested to find out if there was any data on gender bias regarding applicants to the positions detailed in the research. Also to lower levels of management preceding the positions in the report. Without an understanding of 'desire', how can we establish an equality on positions held? Phil Beard "Career progression within pharmacy Naylor’s study, which is co-supervised by Batchelor and Sarah Pontefract at the University of Birmingham, is mapping the gender balance in the progression opportunities for pharmacists, and determining if the proportion of females in senior positions reflects the gender distribution on the GPhC register."
