A year of change for pharmacy

Saying in the editorial A Year of Change, that pharmacists are spending longer on clinical activities and by 2020 should be spending 80% of their time on the wards, misses the real point. Clinical pharmacy practice is by no means confined to wards and clinical areas but is a core part of the everyday activities of pharmacy professionals in many areas including medicines information, many hospital "technical" services as well, I dare to suggest in many if not all Community Pharmacies. We fail to acknowledge that and actively educate others to do so, at our peril.
