Trainee doctors and nurses have been fast-tracked into their professions — why not preregistration pharmacists?

For information there are a number of us who are on the register who never sat a pre-registration exam. When I was in charge of Pharmacy services at a hospital, which included responsibility for pre- registration students - this also included those completing six months in industry. If I thought the student was fit to practice I used to sign off the student at the end of their pre-registration year.
