UK boosts Phoenix sales

Phoenix Pharmahandel AG saw its sales for the year to January 31, 2000, increase by 17.7 per cent following the incorporation of its recently acquired subsidiaries in the United Kingdom, which now trade under the banner of Phoenix Medical Supplies Ltd.
Dr Bernd Scheifele (chairman, Phoenix) announced on July 20 that consolidated turnover for the year had reached DM15.1bn (£5bn). Sales within Germany were DM8.3bn. The rest of Europe (including the UK) brought in DM6.6bn, up 37.5 per cent, and other sales accounted for DM0.2bn.
The company declined to provide a breakdown of sales figures by country or operating division.
