Call for examples of pharmacy awareness campaigns

Raising awareness of pharmacy services among patients, carers and the public is a key challenge for the profession. While these groups readily associate pharmacists with medicine supply, there is a need to improve their understanding about the provision of direct care and the support of patients’ health needs.

The Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) wants to encourage and support local pharmacy teams to engage more with patients, carers and the public about these wider pharmacy services. The RPS will develop a hub webpage that links to existing resources and campaigns that have been developed specifically for these patient groups, or which seek to raise the profile of pharmacists. This will be openly accessible as a source of information for anyone wanting to start or further develop their own activities.

If you have any examples of such resources or campaigns, whether local, national or international, please email details to
