On 22 April 2017, Marilyn June Mackenzie MRPharmS, aged 77, of Grange Park, London. Mrs Mackenzie registered with the Society in 1962.
Marilyn Mackenzie devoted herself to pharmacy over a long career in community, industrial and hospital pharmacy, beginning with an apprenticeship at Barts and then as section head of development pharmacy at Smith Kline and French. While her sons were young she continued in part-time work in community and hospital pharmacy and eventually became principal pharmacist at St Ann’s Hospital, Tottenham. After retirement she continued to work for the Care Quality Commission inspecting care and nursing homes for the secure and safe handling of medicines.
