On 8 July 2018, Roy Norman Gooch MRPharmS, aged 84 years, of Brighton. Mr Gooch registered with the Society in 1967.
Mr Gooch began his career in retail, before joining the Department of Health and Social Security’s supplies division, where he was heavily involved with artificial kidneys and the change over from glass to plastic giving sets. He went on to become one of the first medicines inspectors.
In the early 1980s, he became managing director of Courtin & Warner Ltd, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of controlled raw materials to the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food industries, before retiring in the early 2000s.
