Developments to The Pharmaceutical Journal and Clinical Pharmacist

In February 2015 we sent you a survey to ask your views on The Pharmaceutical Journal and Clinical Pharmacist
and how you would like to see them developed. The majority of members who responded told us that they would like a more substantial edition of The Pharmaceutical Journal, once a month, and would also like to receive a print copy of Clinical Pharmacist once a month. We have listened to feedback from members and in response have developed both publications for pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists, as part of your membership.

We’re making changes to the content of both The Pharmaceutical Journal and Clinical Pharmacist. The Pharmaceutical Journal will focus on medicines, pharmacy and science and will give you news, features, analysis, opinions and career articles.
Clinical Pharmacist will provide peer-reviewed learning resources, CPD and literature review articles from drug discovery to clinical pharmacology and pharmacy.

The frequency of both publications will also be changing. The Pharmaceutical Journal is changing from 32 pages, 40 issues a year to 64 pages, 12 issues a year. Clinical Pharmacist is increasing from 10 to 12 issues per year.

As a member you will receive both the The Pharmaceutical Journal and Clinical Pharmacist every month. Clinical Pharmacist will become the highest circulating peer-reviewed clinical pharmacy journal in the world. We know how important professional development and learning is to our members and now all members will benefit from our peer-reviewed learning resources in Clinical Pharmacist*.

The last 32-page issue of The Pharmaceutical Journal will be 26 September 2015. All members will receive Clinical Pharmacist from mid-October and the new 64-page issue of The Pharmaceutical Journal from the end of October. More communications will follow between now and when these exciting developments launch.  All members will receive both publications in print by default. Anyone who would like to opt out of receiving a print copy should contact the membership team by email
