Disciplinary Committee decisions (2-9 August 2010)

The Disciplinary Committee of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain met during August 2010 and made the following directions

The Disciplinary Committee of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain met recently and made the following directions:

1.    On Monday 2 and Tuesday 3 August 2010, the committee found that the fitness to practise as a pharmacist of Janet Eden (registration number 65997) is impaired.

The committee directed that, in accordance with article 52(3)(a) of the Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians Order 2007, a warning should be issued to Mrs Eden and that the warning should appear on her entry in the Register of Pharmacists.

In relation to the warning, the committee indicated as follows: “The warning will be as to Mrs Eden’s future conduct, particularly with reference to the observance of every requirement comprised in Key Responsibility 3 of the code of ethics and we direct that details of the warning are recorded in Mrs Eden’s entry in the Register.”

 

2.    On Thursday 5 August 2010 the committee directed that the interim order relating to the registration of Javier Moreno Ramos (registration number 1107837) should remain in force, in accordance with rule 39(2) of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain (Fitness to Practise and Disqualification etc. Rules) Order of Council 2007.

On 23 April 2009, the committee made an order that Mr Moreno Ramos’s registration be suspended for a period of 18 months.

 

3.    On Friday 9 August 2010, the committee made an order under article 54 of the Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians Order 2007 and Rule 39(2) of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain (Fitness to Practise and Disqualification etc. Rules) Order 2007, that the registration of Sandor Lakatos (registration number 1111497) be suspended for a period of 18 months.

The committee directed that the order take effect immediately. This order is subject to review within six months.
