Drug driving law change

10 February 2015: BBC Radio Five Live and BBC Radio London reported on the upcoming change in the law concerning drug driving, which comes into force on 2 March 2015.

Royal Pharmaceutical Society spokesperson Professor David Taylor was interviewed and told Five Live: “There are 16 drugs covered, eight of them are what you might call illicit drugs like LSD, cocaine, and there are eight medicines that might be prescribed. The medicines are liable to cause sedation, drowsiness, difficulty [concentrating], and you can imagine these side effects impair your ability to drive.”
