Liver disease delivery plan

The Welsh Government has launched a consultation on a draft Liver Disease Delivery Plan.

This document is one of a suite of national service delivery plans, designed to develop and improve services for people with liver disease. It requires NHS Wales and its partners to:

  • Carry out local population needs assessments;
  • Analyse the gap between current provision and the requirements in this plan;
  • Plan and take action to close that gap;
  • Demonstrate, through regular reporting, improved outcomes for patients, with an emphasis on reducing health inequalities.

T
he plan sets out the main actions to be implemented in order to improve healthcare outcomes for patients. It seeks to ensure that these improvements are delivered to all the people of Wales, wherever they live and whatever their situation.

This consultation closes on 6 January 2015.  If you would like to comment on this consultation to help inform the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) Wales response, we kindly ask for any information to be shared with us no later than 29 December 2014 by emailing
