Panel of Fellows
The Royal Pharmaceutical Society is seeking nominations for two candidates to serve on the Panel of Fellows, and is particularly interested in applications from Fellows who are based in Wales and those with a background in the science or industry sectors.
The Panel currently consists of seven Fellows (one of whom is the chair) but none of whom is a member of the Society’s Assembly.
Candidates for membership of the Panel must have been Fellows for a period of six years and, if formerly a member of the Assembly, will not have been or stood for membership of the Assembly for a period of six years. Members of the Panel must still be active in the profession.
The composition of the Panel should represent the different interests, aspects and structure of the Society, and its individual members. Ideally, the Panel has members from academia, industry, NHS/hospital and community practice, and from England, Scotland and Wales.
Members of the Panel of Fellows should have a wide knowledge of the Society and its membership, and be able to make an objective assessment of distinction and leadership in pharmacy and pharmaceutical care among the candidates put forward for consideration.
The Panel of Fellows reports to the Assembly independently through an annual report, usually submitted at the November Assembly meeting.
To apply for this position, please download the application form and guidelines and email your completed form, accompanied by your CV, to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The closing date for receipt of all applications is 9:00 on Friday 16 August 2019. Following this date, the Appointments Committee (who report to the Assembly) will make their decision and all those who put their names forward will be informed.
