Robert Blyth dies

On 27 November 2014, Robert Blyth, MBE, FRPharmS, aged 93, of 43 Morton’s Fork, Blue Bridge, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire MK13 OLA. Mr Blyth registered with the Society in 1949 and became a Fellow in 1970. Mr Blyth was educated at Dunfermline High School and qualified from Heriot-Watt College, Edinburgh in 1949, after service in the Royal Artillery and the Royal Indian Artillery during the Second World War (1939-45). He was editor of The Pharmaceutical Journal from 1961 to 1986. Mr Blyth received the Society’s Charter Gold Medal in 1986, and was awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours in 1987.
